RED PLUMCAKE FOR HEARTS

1. Pour 3 egg yolks in a bowl and beat them with 200 g of sugar. Do not throw the whites because they will have to be processed later.
2. Add 175 g of sifted flour, 5 tablespoons of milk and 4 tablespoons of oil.
3. Add the red food dye (do not overdo it because in the oven the red color tends to become brown).
4. Whisk the 3 egg whites and add them to the mixture mixing from bottom to top.
5. Grease the plumcake mold and pour the mixture. Bake at 170 ° C for about 30 minutes.
6. Once cooked and cooled, cut the plumcake into slices with a thickness ofabout 2 cm and make hearts from each slice with a cookie cutter .

CHOCOLATE PLUMCAKE

1. Melt the chocolate in a water bath.
2. Pour 3 egg yolks in a bowl and beat them with 200 g of sugar. Do not throw the egg whites because they will have to be processed later.
3. Add 175 g of sifted flour, baking powder, cocoa, 5 tablespoons of milk and 4 tablespoons of oil.
4. Add the melted chocolate.
5. Whisk the 3 egg whites and add them to the mixture mixing from bottom to top.
6. Butter the plumcake mold and pour only a little chocolate dough to cover the base of the mold. Put the hearts with the tip down into the mold very close to each other.
7. Pour the rest of the dough onto all the hearts making sure you have covered everything properly.
8. Bake at 180 ° C for 30 minutes.
9. Allow to cool completely and then pour the icing sugar.
10. Pack the plumcake with transparent food paper or in a tin box. Apply a label with the ingredients.
