Citrus Tray!

On this snowy day of March, I propose a colorful, original and perfect gift idea to wait for the summer! Today I will explain how to prepare these beautiful "citrus" trays that make us immediately think of hot summer, poolside with a frozen Margarita!

What you need:

• 18 '' semicircle wooden
• Acrylic colors (green, yellow, red, orange, white)
• Handles and screws
• Brushes
• Pencil
• Fixative acrylic paint

METHOD:

1. If you do not already find the "slice" of wood ready, inquire about the possibility of cutting it directly in the store where you buy it. If necessary you can proceed directly with the circular saw (if you know how to use it!)
2. With the pencil draw the slice on the wood. Proceed with the edge of the peel (about 1 or 2 cm) and paint it using a brush.
3. Then continue drawing triangles distancing them from each other and from the peel. Paint the spaces between the triangles and the rest of the slice with white.

4. Mix a little 'white color with the color of the fruit (in this case lemon yellow) and with the pastel shade go to color the triangles. Allow to dry.
5. With the white give some brushstroke on each triangle starting from the tip of the cone towards the widest part.
6. Spread a layer of fixative paint over the entire tray. Allow to dry.
7. Using an electric drill to fix the handles to the tray.

And here it is done! It takes only a little precision and the right tools and the result is really nice!
