Ingredients:
- Smooth cookies in an oval shape
- White fondant
- Oval cutter
- Walnut kernels
- Powdered sugar
- Red food coloring
- Water
- brush for food
METHOD:
- Spread the fondant on a piece of baking paper, using the powdered sugar to avoid sticking the rolling pin to the fondant. The thickness should be 5 mm at most (depends how much sweetness you want!)
- With the cutter go to get oval tots for the number of biscuits available, and after having lightly wet the surface of each biscuit with the fingertips, go to place the ovals of sugar paste over it.
- Now prepare the icing, water and red coloring until you get a consistency not too liquid but not too thick!
- Dip the brush into the red glaze and paint the walnut kernels (one for biscuit). Allow to dry and if necessary, take a second pass.
- Place the walnut kernels on each biscuit by pressing a little to make them stick better to the fondant.
- Subsequently, always with the brush dipped in the glaze, go to recreate on the cookies of the sketches to make the whole thing more "splatter".
If you prefer instead to give them as a welcome present, you can always wrap them in transparent food bags closed with a black ribbon!
