Simple and quick vanilla extract!
Hello everyone!
In this beautiful sunny and summer weekend I feel particularly in the mood for pastry! For those who do not know, I really like sweets, both to prepare and to eat!
Often I have proposed tasty gift ideas that consisted of cookies, mug cakes, chocolates, but today I show you how to prepare a perfect extract for sweets, in this case to give to those who, like me, has a passion for pastry! The extract of which I speak is the vanilla one for delicate dough or butter creams!

At this point you will have finished cooling and the extract can be kept in a cool and dry place! You can use it immediately but the taste improves if you let it rest for a few days!

- First, soak the vanilla pods in warm water for a whole day to increase the percentage of the extracted product.
- Then dry the pods and cut them in half by scraping the inner part with the seeds with the tip of the knife.
- Pour the vodka into a saucepan and heat (very low flame), paying a lot of attention.
- Pour the seeds into the jar / bottle. If you want you can also add the pods that you used previously, to further strengthen the extract!
- When you start to see a slight movement on the surface, turn off the heat and pour the vodka into the jar. ALCOOL MUST NOT BE BOILED! Immediately close tightly taking care not to burn yourself!
- After heating the water in a pot reaching a temperature of about 70 ° C (so you do not have to bring to a boil), place the jar / bottle inside the water to cool the extract slowly.
- Once cooled, apply the label with the ingredients on the jar / bottle, and possibly also a recipe to experiment with the extract (see here)
